Acrylic 30 inches x 24 inches x 1.5 inch Not For Sale
Black bears are often seen devouring delicious corn in the local corn fields of the Fraser Valley. Black bears have been known to devour acres of corn each season as they fatten up for winter. This original acrylic painting is inspired by a tiny orphan cub that knocked on my cabin window one stormy night as he struggled to survive alone. I later saw him hiding in the corn fields with other bears during the final days of fall. Conservation officers informed me that wildlife rescue groups are overwhelmed with orphans and this little guy was on his own. I created this piece in honour of the orphan cubs that fight for survival.
